Privacy Policy

Kapi Go helps you turn what's on your mind into small steps. To do that, it needs to keep some of what you tell it. This page explains what we collect, why, who else sees it, and what you can do about it. We don't sell your data and we don't show ads.
What we collect
- Your account: your email address and, if you sign up with a password, a securely hashed version of it (we never store the password itself). If you use “Continue with Google”, we receive your name, email address and profile picture from Google.
- What you write and create: your messages to Kapi, the paths and steps you make, which steps you finish, and how long they took.
- A few settings: your time zone and small preferences, such as whether to ask before deleting.
- Usage of the AI: for each request to Kapi's AI, which feature was used, how much text was processed, and what it cost, so we can keep the service affordable.
- Technical data: like every website, our servers and our network provider see your IP address and browser details when you visit, to deliver the site and protect it from abuse (for example, limiting repeated login attempts).
How we use it
Only to run Kapi Go: to sign you in, to show you your paths and progress, to let Kapi reply and break tasks into steps, to keep the service secure, and to understand and control our costs. We don't use your data for advertising, and we don't sell or rent it to anyone.
Who else processes it
We use a small number of providers to run the service. Each only gets what it needs:
- Anthropic (the Claude AI): when you talk to Kapi or ask it to break something down, the relevant part of your conversation and paths is sent to Anthropic to generate the reply. Anthropic does not use this data to train its models.
- Vultr: hosts our servers and database, in the United States.
- Cloudflare: delivers the website securely and protects it from attacks; it sees your IP address and the pages you request.
- Google: only if you choose “Continue with Google” or its sign-in prompt, to confirm who you are.
We may also disclose information if the law requires it.
Google user data
If you sign in with Google, Kapi Go requests only your basic profile: your name, email address and profile picture (the openid, email and profile permissions). We use them only to create your account, sign you in, and show your name and picture in the app. We don't access your Gmail, Drive, Calendar, contacts or any other Google data. We don't sell Google user data, share it with third parties, use it for advertising, or use it to train AI models. Kapi Go's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. You can remove Kapi Go's access at any time in your Google Account settings.
Cookies and storage in your browser
We use two cookies, both needed for the app to work: one keeps you signed in, and one protects your account from cross-site request forgery. We don't use advertising or tracking cookies. The app also keeps a few things in your browser's local storage, such as your current conversation with Kapi and your theme, so they survive a page refresh.
How long we keep it
We keep your account and what you've created for as long as you have an account. If you ask us to delete your account, we delete it along with your paths, steps, messages and progress. Backups (ours and our hosting provider's) are kept for about two weeks, so a deleted account fully disappears from them within that time. AI usage records are kept without any link to you, so our cost totals stay correct.
Your choices and rights
You can see and change your paths and steps in the app at any time. You can ask us for a copy of your data, to correct it, or to delete your account by emailing [email protected]. Depending on where you live (for example, in the EU or UK under the GDPR, or in California), you may have further rights, including objecting to how we process your data or complaining to your data protection authority.
Security
Everything is sent over encrypted connections (HTTPS). Passwords are hashed, the database isn't reachable from the internet, and access to our servers is restricted. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your data and will tell you if a breach affects you.
Children
Kapi Go is for adults. It isn't meant for anyone under 16, and we don't knowingly collect data from them. If you believe a child has signed up, contact us and we'll delete the account.
Not medical care
Kapi Go doesn't diagnose or treat ADHD or any other condition, and we don't ask for health information. Please don't share medical details you'd rather keep private.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top, and tell you in the app or by email if the change is significant.
